?

RESULTS of the 2011 Fourth Quarter Video Marketing Survey (VMS) covering over 270 Interactive advertising and marketing executives has just been released by Flimp Media and the Web Video Marketing Council (WVMC).

According to the report, majority of online entrepreneurs and businessmen are already utilizing the power of video for their web marketing ventures and that more than 60 percent of them plan to jack up their business investment for this year.

The report also showed that online video usage has grown 82 percent last year and 53 percent of the marketers said they used video along with email for their marketing campaigns last year.

Surveyed businessmen and entrepreneurs, in most cases, were positive about the potential of email with video as more than 80 percent said that using email with video strengthened their advertising and marketing positions.

On top of this, 73 percent are certain that customers were more likely to buy after watching a video integrated in an email. Only 1 percent of businesses surveyed said that video did not do wonders for their email and video marketing ventures.

Based on these surveys it was interesting that 36 percent of businesses said that their internet service providers didn?t offer solutions for their marketing efforts and 45 percent were not aware if their providers had a solution for their online video projects.

The WVMC conducted the survey in coordination with Flimp Media for the Fourth Quarter of 2011. It asked over 270 interactive advertising and marketing executives and professionals in order to acquire helpful insights into present-day business perceptions and practices about web-based email and video marketing and advertising campaigns.

WVMC director for strategic programs, Paul Ritter, said the company was aware that there was a huge interest among advertisers and marketers in web video and email marketing, but were surprised by the so-called ?adoption levels? and the growing sentiment that email-video demand boosts purchases and click-through rates, which is really a promising marketing trend to watch out for online.

Marketers were also asked what they think are the best methods in integrating video with email and what they believe are the main obstacles to utilizing email with video campaigns.

According to Ritter, on top of the list of obstacles cited by the respondents for using email with video was the lack of available video resources they can use in their business strategies.

Flimp Media CEO, Wayne Wall, said that there seems to be a consensus of belief among online entrepreneurs that video creates a bigger online interest and engagement as well as response rates. He added that they have made more than a thousand video marketing campaigns since 2008.
